FO&O: “La canción estaba escrita para One Direction pero los compositores decidieron guardarla”

FO&O, conocido anteriormente por The Fooo y The Fooo Conspiracy, es un grupo sueco formado por Felix Sandman (18) y Oscar Enestad (19) y Omar Rudberg (19). Olly, el cuarto integrante del grupo, decidió dejar el grupo musical el 30 de noviembre de 2016.

El grupo cuenta con varios singles de éxito desde sus inicios en 2013 como Roller Coaster, Summer Love o Who Doesn’t Love Love. Además, este verano realizaron una colaboración con Danny Saucedo en el tema “My Girl”.

Su primera gran actuación fue en el Globen Arena como teloneros del concierto de Justin Bieber de abril de 2013. Cuentan con miles de fans repartidos por todo el mundo y cuentan con millones de visitas en ambos canales de youtube.

“Gotta Thing About You”, el tema que han presentado al Melodifestivalen, está escrito por Tony Nilsson y Mutt Lange. Éste último ha participado tanto en la composición como en la producción de numerosos temas de éxito de artistas como Britney Spears, AC/DC, Muse, Lady Gaga, los BackStreet Boys o Celine Dion.

Este sábado actuarán en la 3ª Semifinal de la preselección sueca junto con Robin Bengtsson, Anton Hagman, Jasmine Kara, Owe Thornquist, Bella&Filippa y Krista Siegfrids y lucharán para hacerse con un puesto en la final.

SpainEurovisionInfo: Why did you decide to participate in Mello 2017? [Por qué decidisteis participar en el Melodifestivalen 2017?

FO&O (Oscar): We think the show really changed these last years. Our music fit in better now and we’re so excited! We want as many people as possible to hear our new song and see us as a band perform. Mello is the biggest TV-show in Sweden by far! [Pensamos que el programa cambió mucho en los últimos años. Nuestra música encaja mejor ahora y estamos muy emocionados! Queremos hacer llegar nuestra canción a mucha gente y que vean nuestra actuación. El melodifestivalen es el show más importante de la televisión en Suecia!]

SEI: Your song is “Gotta Thing About You” so, how did it come up? was the song created to Mello 2017 expressly? [¿Cómo surgió vuestro tema “Gotta Thing About You”? ¿Estaba la canción expresamente creada para el Melodifestivalen 2017?]

FO&O (Oscar): The song is written by Tony Nilsson and Mutt Lange, two amazing songwriters with impressive discographies! No it wasn’t written to mello, they wrote it like four years ago. It was actually written to 1D at first but the songwriters decided to keep it. [La canción está escrita por Tony Nilsson y Mutt Lange, dos compositores increíbles con grandes discografías. No estaba escrita para el melodifestivalen, ellos escribieron la canción como hace 4 años. En realidad estaba escrita para One Direction en un principio pero los compositores decidieron guardarla]

SEI: Why do you want to go to Eurovision guys? Do you think it would change your lifes? [¿Por qué queréis ir a Eurovisión? ¿Creéis que cambiaría vuestras vidas?]

FO&O (Felix): We wanna travel the world and perform, one of our goals is a world tour!! Europe is a good start and Eurovision could absolutely help us with that. [Queremos viajar por todo el mundo y actuar, uno de nuestros objetivos es un tour por todo el mundo!!!. Europa sería un buen comienzo y Eurovisión podría absolutamente ayudarnos a conseguir eso]

SEI: What do you think about Loreen’s participation in Mello 2017? [¿Qué pensáis sobre la participación de Loreen en el Melodifestivalen 2017?]

FO&O (Oscar): She did an amazing performance last time and it’s gonna be really cool to see what she does now and to hear the song, she’s a good artist. [Hizo una actuación espléndida y va a ser bastante guay ver qué hace ahora y escuchar la canción que ha presentado, es muy buena artista]

SEI: What’s about “Gotta Thing About You? Is it pop?, maybe tecno? What story is behind of this song? [¿Qué nos podéis decir acerca de “Gotta Thing About You”? ¿Es un tema pop o tecno? ¿Qué historia está detrás de la canción?]

FO&O (Omar): It’s about love, of course…lol! No we’re just kidding, but it is actually about love but not in a classic way. It’s about wanting something really bad but your head is telling you that it’s a bad idea. For us this ”thing” is a girl which makes it a love song I guess you could say. It’s a very boyband, pop, arena song! [La canción es sobre amor.. por supuesto… lol!!! Es broma. Es sobre amor pero no en un sentido clásico. Va sobre querer algo que es malo y tu cabeza te insiste en que es una mala idea. Para nosotros “thing” es una chica, por lo que sí que se podría decir que es una canción de amor. Es un tema muy boyband, arena y pop!]

SEI: It will be choreography in the stage? And special effects like Mans Zelmerlow’s performance? [¿Habrá coreografía en el escenario? ¿Y efectos especiales como en la actuación de Mans Zelmerlow?]

FO&O (Felix): You’ll just have to wait and see… Of course there will be dance and stuff, but lets keep the rest a surprise… [Sólo tendréis que esperar y ver… Por supuesto habrá baile y más cosas, pero dejemoslo en una sorpresa…]

SEI: Has it been difficult to tackle this project without Olly? [Ha sido muy dificil empezar este proyecto sin Olly?]

FO&O (Oscar): Everything happened so fast and we have a very busy schedule.. Guess it will take some time for us to realize that he won’t be performing with us anymore. We’re all still best friends and we support him until the end! [Todo ocurrió muy rápido y tenemos un calendario muy lleno. Tardaremos un tiempo en darnos cuenta realmente de que nunca más actuará con nosotros. Todavía somos mejores amigos y le apoyamos hasta el final!]

SEI: How do you combine your studies with your musical career? [¿Cómo combinais vuestros estudios con vuestea carrera musical?]

FO&O (Omar): Actually we’re all done with school now which is such a relief cause it’s been so hard! [Realmente hemos acabado los estudios ya y es un alivio porque ha sido muy duro!]

SEI: If you had three words to definite us as a musical group, what would they be? [Si pudieseis definiros en 3 palabras como grupo musical, ¿cuáles serían?]

FO&O (Felix): Yeah of course, we love Spain and can’t wait to go back there!!! [Sí por supuesto, nos encanta España y nos encantaría volver!!!]

SEI: Is there something you want to say to your fans from Spain? [¿Hay algo que le queráis decir a vuestras fans de España que os estén leyendo?]
