A few minutes ago, the Russian delegation has confirmed that Russia withdraws from Eurovision
After the amount of tensions between Ukraine and Russia, the EBU’s proposed solutions haven’t been useful enough to keep Russia into the contest.
It’s official, Channel One Russia will not have a representative in Eurovision 2017, so Kyiv will have 42 competitors.
The EBU and the executive supervisor for Eurovision, Jon Ola Sand, haven’t said anything yet.
